We were approached by Harry Ramsden to help bring their digital presence up to date, in line with the brand’s new identity and heritage values. We created a distinctive ‘Harry’s’ feel to the user’s experience, whether viewed on mobile or desktop devices.
The project started with an audit of the now outdated Harry Ramsden website. Two of the key points for the new website from the user’s perspective were allowing them to book a table and to find specific location information more easily. We broke down their existing page structure and reorganised it into a much simpler site architecture allowing easier navigation and a more intuitive user experience.
With this in mind, we also had to adhere to specific needs from the business’s perspective, allowing for the website to be easily updated by a range of individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge. We achieved this by linking the bespoke, mobile-friendly website with a Content Management System (CMS). Our preferred CMS platform is WordPress, one of the largest and most popular and easy to use open-source platforms out there.
